Membership Benefits

British Universities China Association is a non-profit, unincorporated professional association formed by a number of active International officers and managers at British Universities, whose primary responsibility includes China.

To qualify for the membership you need to have certain working experience at the Universities in England, Scotland and Wales. The membership applies to individuals only and needs to be renewed annually. The current membership fee is £200.00 per member. Members are also entitled to attend the Annual Conference, take advantage of the annual training programme for your career development, as well as Focus Groups.

BUCA Membership service and fees benefit

British Universities China Association is a non-profit, unincorporated professional association formed by a number of active International officers and managers at British Universities, whose primary responsibility includes China.

BUCA membership applies to individuals only and needs to be renewed annually. BUCA accepts payments from individuals or organizations. We welcome multiple members from the same organisation, but each membership fee applies to one member only. If members left the current employer or became unemployed during the year, his/her membership will remain unchanged till the end of the academic year, and the member should notify BUCA his/her updated employment status.

BUCA offers members:

  1. Exclusive online discussion forum on daily and emerging opportunities and challenges;
  2. Surveys and reports on relevant and current matters;
  3. BUCA exclusive online and offline promotional activities, either free of charge, or at a reduced group rate;
  4. Training opportunities on regular basis and professional meetings/webinars for all members.

The annual membership fee is £200.00, which covers from the 1st September of each year till the 31st August of the following year. If the application is received in the middle of the academic year, membership fee is counted as follows:

  • £200, if the remaining membership is 6 months or more
  • £100, if the remaining membership is less than 6 months

For example: if your BUCA application/registration form is received on the 15th March, you will need to pay for April-May-June-July-August, which is 5 months in total, you will be charged £100; If your application is received on the 1st March, you will need to pay for March-April-May-June-July-August 2020 which is 6 months in total and you will be charged £200.

The membership fee covers cost of BUCA activities including:

  1. Annual BUCA member conference
  2. Annual BUCA membership only recruitment events
  3. BUCA recruitment fairs open to all but free for members
  4. BUCA Website design and maintenance
  5. BUCA Marketing collaterals including banners, leaflets, pins and tablecloth.
  6. BUCA exclusive marketing opportunities (free or reduced rate)
